Interview with Douglas Robbins, Author, Playwright, and Podcast Host

Douglas began his writing career at a young age, when one of his teachers asked the class to write a poem. Robbins grew up, attended college, and held jobs in numerous fields, from construction to insurance. The jobs changed, but his need to write and express himself remained a constant.

He released his first novel, “The Reluctant Human,” in 2012. He quickly followed it up with the novella “Max Johnny,” and a book of short stories, “Leaves Piled High.” In 2019 he released “Narican: The Cloaked Deception,” his first book in a spiritual sci-fi series about the evolution of souls. He is currently working on the second and third books in the Narican series. Another of his books is “Love in a Dying Town,” which came out in 2021. It is the story of a single father struggling to raise his daughter in a dying factory town. It is a story about love, commitment, and sacrifice.

Douglas recently wrote a play for the local community theater called “Someone Anonymous” about people feeling anonymous in their lives but knowing there's more to them waiting to get out.

He is also the podcast host of “The Den of Discussion,” a show that illuminates everyday heroes who are making a difference in the world.
